Piece based on Sputnik model by Martin Juenke.
"'Sputnik' contains a musicbox playing the national anthem of Russia, additional sampled sounds coming from the Russian POLIVOKS synth, a computer generated voice reading parts of the Russian Wikipedia article about the Sputnik event accompanied by a heavy usage of a vocoder to modify that voice.
"My aim was to capture this specific sense of triumph, optimism and future-orientation, which was inherent to these space endeavours in the fifties and sixties.
"Truly a bygone time..."
