Parma on lockdown
Apr 28, 2020, 06:19 PM
Parma, Italy lockdown sound recorded by Marilena Karagkiozi.
"This soundscape is a composition of acoustic stories recorded at the exact same spot, my apartment window. I live in the center of the city of Parma in Italy and the project covers the past two months of the lockdown.
"I am giving you a short description of the sounds you are hearing but not in the order you are hearing them.
"A woman wearing a rose-pink fluffy jacket passing down the street and singing. Children drawing chalk paint dinosaurs on the alley. Rain in the night and someone playing the piano. A military jeep, patrols. A bicycle. Singing birds all over. Someone throwing the garbage away and someone whispering a swear word. Five dogs with five bell collars. Verdi's Rigoletto from the street’s megaphones.
"You are free to create your own narrative."
