Morning Forest Sounds along Krummbachtal

Apr 15, 2020, 11:29 AM

Gerlingen, Germany lockdown sound recorded by Kirsten Carlson.

"Recorded 13APR2020, 0902, E: 1500':

"Weather is turning warmer, Spring has arrived, I have a strong desire to be in Nature and begin the release of 'stress weight' I've been holding onto for the past year. I went on a solo bike ride today and paused to check a toad trap (they have exclusion gates for the amphibians this time of year), no 'phibs but I paused to record the sounds of the forest I was biking through (and distant traffic on Wildparkstrasse).

"As an artist with a home studio, my days haven't shifted much with the pandemic, except I can't procrastinate-shop, which is beneficial to my creative projects. Unexpected consequences of the pandemic include valuing health and friendships on a whole new appreciation level. And, I love the sharing and caring that I witness in our species that has resulted from the isolation we've undertaken to facilitate the extinction of the virus."
