Life in the Peloton – Ella Harris
Season 8, Episode 34, Apr 08, 2020, 04:23 PM
In this episode of Life in the Peloton, Mitch Docker catches up with Ella Harris to talk about her journey from virtual world to the World Tour.
The 21-year-old New Zealander won the Zwift Academy in 2018 and earned a pro contract with the Canyon-SRAM team.
Harris enjoyed a promising start to the 2020 season – winning a stage of the Herald Sun Tour and the New Zealand time trial title – and is now back home while the world of cycling is on pause because of the coronavirus crisis.
Mitch and Ella talk about transferring the power from the indoor trainer to the peloton.

Theme music
The theme music for Life in the Peloton was composed by Pete Shelley, who was lead singer of the punk band Buzzcocks. It was commissioned by the production company behind Channel 4’s coverage of the Tour de France in the 1980s and was used as the theme music for the nightly highlights show. Pete died in December 2018. We were given permission by Pete’s widow and his manager to continue using the music for the theme tune to Life in the Peloton. To hear more about the music, listen to the Andre Greipel episode of Life in the Peloton.
