There's nobody around - Grand Central Station
Apr 03, 2020, 02:52 PM
New York lockdown sound recorded by Geoff Gersh.
"42nd Street right in front of Grand Central Station, NYC, Monday March 30, 2020 around 9:45pm.
"Just like inside the station, 42nd Street is usually buzzing with life: pedestrians, buses, taxis, trucks and passenger cars.
"At this moment in time, during the Coronavirus pandemic, the soundscape is different. You can actually count the individual vehicles and pedestrians that are passing by, something that would be impossible to do in normal times as the masses of people and vehicles all blend into one giant drone."
