Episode 1089,   Apr 01, 2020, 04:12 AM

A $52 million upgrade to Murray Bridge’s wastewater network is entering the final stages.

Process testing is underway and solar panels and a public art installation are being installed at the new Brinkley waste water treatment plant, which began construction in October 2018.

In the coming months the plant will be able to treat an extra two million litres of sewage a day with an odour control unit that is designed to remove 99.95 per cent of odour from the plant.

SA Water’s General Manager of Asset, Operations and Delivery, Mark Gobbie joins Jennie Lenman for a chat about it.
