This is a hydrophone submerged in a pocket of Biscayne Bay off Museum Park near the MacArthur Causeway during rush hour. In it you hear ominous humming and revving coming from the Port of Miami, roughly 2km from the site.

The recording was taken as part of a larger collection of sounds gathered for Archival Feedback’s  2018 performance as part of SAND: Amphitheater, an exhibition exploring the history and impact of climate change on South Florida’s shorelines. Recorded by Archival Feedback (Emile Milgrim & T. Wheeler Castillo).
