Essen city soundscape reimagined by Jamie Frye.
"This piece was inspired by a musical tone within the original field recording. The natural xylophone in this extreme urban and brutalistic environment had a charm that which was the only thing that mimicked nature in this dystopian landscape.
"The original recording has no natural sounds which are audible, highlighting the fact we are driving ourselves into a dark dystopian future.
"My piece represents a synthetic city and the sounds it creates. I believed only using a synthesizer to mimic these layers represented the harshness of our robotic modern world."
