Sounds of Krakow rainfall reimagined by O. Johnson.
"The original field recording I chose was sounds of rainfall in the urban Krakow by Michael Gatonska.
"Many of my tracks are based on memories and things I see and a memory came to mind when listening to the rainfall. It reminded me of the sounds made by several moths caught in an ornamental lamp shade.
"Their wings were hitting the side of the shade, in ever increasing panic, trying to escape.
"The track consists of several processed sections of the original rain recording, firstly to create a tinkling sound representing the smaller moth fluttering and then also a track emulating the sounds of the wings banging against the sides of the shade.
"I then used several electronic sounds to try and create an assortment of moths, where their movements become more frenetic but where escape is ultimately futile. "
