"I've always liked airports (because being there means you're going somewhere else) and I've always liked water (because you can look at it and believe you're going somewhere else).
"In a pessimistic future, a lot land will be subsumed by water, leaving our future cities as a landscape of mainly water and air, not much land.
"That's what inspired me, along with a hope that all of us will get along better then, because we will have to."
