Going to a festival, volunteering, going vegan? What rites of passage should teenagers go through before adulthood?

The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme has come up with a list of essential activities for teenagers to complete before adulthood - including going to a festival,  volunteering, learning to manage your money and going vegan. 

Not surprisingly, perhaps, for an organisation that promotes the great outdoors, it recommends "spending time in nature".
