It is well known that it is harder for blind and partially sighted people to enter the job market, due to outdated stereotypes and a lack of awareness of individual's strengths and potential.

Add to the mix a poor understanding of the Access To Work scheme, to help with any extra costs of making a work place accessible, and you have a difficult set of circumstances to overcome.

However a longitudinal study by the University Of Birmingham and The Thomas Pocklington Trust, may show a glimmer of hope.
