29th November 2019 - FA Cup, FA Cup Factfile, Maidstone United, FA Vase, Westfields
Season 4, Episode 17, Nov 29, 2019, 05:00 AM
It's FA Cup Second Round so Tim Fuell turns to @FACupFactFile Phil Annets for knowledge, insight and off the wall stats about the greatest cup competition in the world and the Second Round of the competition featuring a dozen non league sides.
One of those clubs is Maidstone United and old friend of the show and Head Coach there Hakan Hayrettin talks about their preparations for a trip to Blackpool this weekend in the competition. He also explains why he is loving football there and being number two to his long-term friend, mentor and 'little angel on my shoulder' John Still.
It's also the FA Vase Third Round this weekend and returning to a club we last heard from during their own historic FA Cup run three seasons ago, Tim speaks with Westfields FC newly moved to the Hellenic League and currently top of the Premier and unbeaten there after a summer switch in the league restructuring. It is FA Vase this weekend though and new boss Phil Glover knows what success would mean to the club having been a player and captain during that FA Cup run.
Rounding up the news of the week is Senior Writer at The Non League Paper David Richardson.
