Are some Black Friday deals as good value as they seem?

The consumer group Which? is urging shoppers to do their research before buying goods on Black Friday later this week.
They've found that just 1 in 20 so-called Black Friday "deals" are cheaper than at other times of the year.
So with an estimated £8bn thought to be spent over the 8-days up to and including Black Friday - how can we make sure that we're spending cash on a genuine discount?
