Some MLAs attempt to resurrect Stormont government ahead of NI abortion law reform deadline

Some of Stormont's MLAs will return to the chamber today
for the first time in nearly three years, after a petition
triggered a recall.
The move was proposed in an attempt to stop the reform
of Northern Ireland's abortion law.
Laws on abortion and same-sex marriage will change unless devolution is restored by midnight.
Alliance leader Naomi Long has called it a stunt and joined Vinny Hurrell on air alongside DUP MLA Jim Wells, Bernie Smyth from Precious Life and Kellie Turtle from Alliance for Choice
