'Blocks' suggested that the composition be made of pieces and fragments, excerpts from the original recording that could be treated and reordered as an aural construction. 'Penny' suggested a focus on the smallest denomination, the granular noises and lowest frequencies. 'Dripping' bought to mind the regular pulsing and percussive nature of raindrops and suggested that repetition be utilised as a compositional tool."
