To Dawn

Call to prayer in Tunisia reimagined by Ruth Knight.
"The majority of my field recordings are from the countryside. In a world overwhelmed by technology and social media I find great pleasure in capturing the sound of nature, so the world ‘grove’, meaning a small wooded area, was what I mainly drew inspiration from when selecting the material I used. The second word which inspired the composition of my piece was ‘direction’. With the call to prayer, my original field recording, being an evening call to prayer, I started my piece in evening and moved in the direction of dawn."
