The Assumption of Mary
Oct 09, 2019, 01:01 PM
Recorded by Tasos Tsigkas.
"In this recording we can hear the sounds of one of the biggest holidays in Greece. It’s the day we celebrate the Assumption of Mother Mary. It’s a deeply religious day but also a day of joy and feast.
"We can hear the bells of “Εκκλησια της Παναγιας της Επανοχοριανης” in the greek island of Amorgos in a small village called “Λαγκάδα” ̈(lagkada) a day before the 15th of August coexisting with small chatters and a donkey."
