Episode 82 - Bills enter BYE week with 14-7 win

Episode 22,   Oct 07, 2019, 12:00 PM

For the first time since 2011, the Buffalo Bills begin the season with a 4-1 start, as they defeated the Tennessee Titans 14-7. It was another close game between the Titans and Bills, but with a stout defense, and a good enough offense, the Bills head into the BYE week with a decent stretch of schedule ahead of them.
The Bills defense were all over Marcus Mariota all day, only allowing 285 yards of offense from the hot and cold Titans. Mariota has been known for these type of games, and team never truly know what side of him that they'll get. For the Bills' sake, it was good that they weren't on the receiving end of what the Titans did to Cleveland and Atlanta.
Josh Allen had an average game for himself, passing for just over 200 yards against the tough Titan's defense. He took advantage of "Duke" Williams promotion to the 53-man roster, and gave him his first touchdown of his NFL career for the former CFL stud.
Buffalo returns to action in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins, a favorable game to return to, but shouldn't be overlooked, as the streaking Philadelphia Eagles are just around the corner.
