A vulnerable older lady allegedly scammed out of hundreds of pounds but the PSNI say it's not a job for them until the Nolan Show gets involved

The PSNI shunned an elderly lady and refused to investigate her claims that. You bring us your stories every day and we make sure you get a voice that will be heard. That's what happened when Stephanie came to us about money that had been taken from her elderly disabled mother, Moira, from a tradesman who promised to do work at her property. Now this was not a cold caller or a case of someone transferring money to a complete stranger they had never met. This story starts with a horrific burglary in March, when Moira was held at knife point in her own home. As she's registered blind, Moira was advised to replace her front and back doors - and that was the start of losing £340 and a four week chase to try and get it back. But this story has an added twist - after going to the police with the name, address and telephone number of the man that took the money, she was  told there was nothing they could do because it was 'civil matter'. Our reporter, Nicola Weir, went to speak to Stephanie.
