There's growing concern that thousands of benefit claimants in Northern Ireland will be hit hard when measures to ease the impact of welfare reforms end in March 2020. The DUP is the latest political party to hold discussions with Stormont officials amidst warnings that welfare claimants are facing a "cliff edge". The party says that without a functioning executive to intervene, around 34,000 households will be subject to the controversial Bedroom Tax.
