Matt Finnegan is a former Special Adviser to Angela Rayner, Labour MP for Ashton-under-Lyne, currently Shadow Secretary of State for Education. During that time, he was an attender, in a variety of guises, at 30 Labour Party Annual Conferences, experiences which he has drawn upon for his debut novel 'Betrayal'.
