Stage 5 | L’Eliana – Observatorio Astrofisico de Javalambre | Vuelta a España 2019
Season 7, Episode 131, Aug 28, 2019, 09:40 PM
The first summit finish of the Vuelta a España took the riders to the observatory at Javalambre – the first time the race has ever gone there.
Lionel Birnie is joined by Richard Moore to discuss a stage that was won by one of the wild card teams in the race, and also shook up the overall classification with the red jersey returning to Miguel Angel Lopez.
We hear from Jetse Bol about his work to help Burgos-BH teammate Angel Madrazo win the stage, plus from Nicolas Roche, who put up a spirited defence of his red jersey.
Our diarists James Knox and Nick Schultz tell us about their days and we hear from Daniel Friebe about the overall battle and whether this is now a race between Lopez and Primoz Roglic.
