It was 50 years ago this week that the army was deployed on to the streets of Belfast, Londonderry and many other areas - as sectarian violence escalated. 30 years of the Troubles followed. Journalist Peter Taylor has been reflecting on his time in Northern Ireland during that period in a programme called ‘My Journey Through The Troubles’, tonight at 9 pm on BBC Two. He spoke to Stephen this morning.
