After a torrential downpour, the skies cleared up for another perfect evening of Buffalo Bills football, this past Thursday evening. The Indianapolis Colts showed up for pre-season action, and as per usual, there was good and bad.
1st Offenses for both Buffalo and Indianapolis couldn't gain much traction against the other team's defenses, who were highly regarded just a year ago. The longest drive for Buffalo was 46 yards over 10 plays and a Stephen Haushcka missed field goal at 34 yards away. There may be some lingering issues there from last season, but something to look out for over the remainder of pre-season.
2nd Team Offense was one of the high points of the evening, under Matt Barkley, having consistent drives, including a TD Pass to Cam Phillips. Buffalo's 2nd team stayed consistently solid as well, making it difficult for Indianapolis QB Phillip Walker to make much progress.
Highlight of the evening however, goes to Christian Wade, whose first touch in an NFL game ever, was a 65-yard TD run, answering back to Chad Kelly's 32-yard TD Run for Indy. I'm sure that it'll be a night that Wade will never forget.
