Director of BBC NI Peter Johnston has intervened to stop any suggestion that BBCNI will take part in the Belfast Pride parade tomorrow.
Mr Johnston has also over ruled the suggestion made last week within the BBC that individual bbcni programmes would be branded at the parade
The Nolan Show revealed last week that BBC staff here had been told quote " that BBC NI will , for the first time, be taking part in Belfast Pride on 3 August alongside many organisations and members of the public "
The memo continued,
"Everyone, regardless of how you identify , is welcome to come along to join bbcni on the day. You dont need to be a member of BBC Pride " the memo to all staff in Northern Ireland said.
However the Director of BBCNI has issued a statement saying he is just from leave and BBC Northern Ireland as a corporation will not be participating.
