Members from the union NIPSA are set for a one day strike today over pay and conditions.
The union has warned that benefit payments, roads, courts and the economy could be affected.
One public service which has been under a lot of pressure is MOT testing - we've covered a lot of cases on this programme of motorists already facing lengthy delays for an appointment.
So what happens for those due an MOT test today?
