How could potential NIPSA strike effect MOT backlog?

Members from the union NIPSA are set for a one day strike this Friday over pay and conditions. The union has warned that benefit payments, roads, courts and the economy could be affected. 

But with the MOT test backlog still impacting drivers, what does this mean for those who have are booked in at a test centre?
