Eight months on from the violent killing of Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the embassy in Istanbul, a UN investigator is calling for international authorities to take over the inquiry.
Agnes Callamard says the role of the country’s defacto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in his death should be looked at.
But the case has largely disappeared from the headlines, with US disputes with regional rival Iran taking precedence.
Nick Howard spoke with Owen Wilson, who’s the author of ‘Khashoggi and the Crown Prince’, and says the killing shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet.
