More detail on Facebook’s cryptocurrency, known as Global Coin, is expected today.

More than 2 billion people log on to one of the social media giant’s apps, like Instagram or Whatsapp, every day, and it’s been interested in expanding into fintech since at least 2017.

But Global Coin’s expected to be very different to cryptocurrencies that have dominated the headlines before, like bitcoin.
