Maddy Playle, Nick Watts, Tom Segal and Paddy Power's Darren Hughes return for a look ahead to key races at Royal Ascot 2019. This week they look at the Prince of Wales’s Stakes, Hardwicke Stakes, Commonwealth Cup and Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
On the show:
- The ante-post team return for more Royal Ascot tips, starting with the 1m2f Prince of Wales's Stakes. With the potential return of Derby winner Masar, plus Magical, Sea of Class and Waldgeist it's a classy looking lineup despite Enable's absence.
- The Hardwicke Stakes may not be a Group 1 but there are plenty of classy entries including Crystal Ocean, Southern France and St Leger winner Kew Gardens. Is last year's Queen's Vase winner the danger or is Sir Michael Stoute's 5yo too good for any race he's entered in?
- We step down in trip for the Commonwealth Cup, and despite his recent defeat at Haydock, Calyx looks the one to beat. Is there anything to back at a bigger price?
- Finally, the Diamond Jubilee Stakes sees Invincible Army head the market, but the team spot value elsewhere with Sands of Mali and City Light looking backable.
