In episode six of The Millennial Wayve I sit down with Basketball Trainer, Entrepreneur and Community Leader, Marcus Kirkland. As a young student athlete in high school, his chances of making it to a 4 year college on a scholarship was slim. With barley any playing time and an ego that held him back, he ended up at a local Community College where he couldn't make the team for 2 years straight. Despite his results, Marcus made the decision that he would make the college team and reach into his untapped potential. Because of that one decison, along with the help of coaches, players and his hard work of course, he recieved a scholarship to a 4 year college in Redding, CA. Within those couple of years Marcus was able to help lead the team to multiple wins and actually began to coach his own teamates on their request. But it didn't stop there; Once he finished with college there was a huge demand in Sacramento for his training. Marcus has now been able to build a notable basketball training organization founded on adversity and hustle. With so much more in store, he shares everything regarding making the team, having a vision and impacting the youth.
