Prominent DUP Cllr John Finlay hits out at the party's hierarchy over its first openly gay councillor.

Ian Paisley 'must be turning in his grave'. That was a warning before the election from Cllr John Finlay to the DUP leadership over the party's decision to run a gay candidate. The News Letter's story this morning quotes Mr Finlay as saying "we will lose votes on May 2 as a result of the Bennington decision". But this morning - after the party's vote went up - Mr Finlay has "nothing to say" adding only "that was a private letter someone leaked".
