19th April 2019 - Street, Gateshead, Morpeth Town, Dunston UTS, National League and Football Pyramid
After weeks of celebrating success Tim Fuell looks at some of those suffering the lows of Non League Football.
First up, out-going Chairman James Court at Street FC who have announced their intention to take demotion at the end of this season after just one term in the Southern League. Not due to financial or ground grading reasons but for the sheer lack of bodies to take the club forward and run it. A tough decision to make but one he and his fellow committee members hope will help ensure a long-term future for the club.
Next up, non league journalist Mark Carruthers with an update on what has been going on at Gateshead in recent weeks and what he hopes will come about int he coming weeks before the new season is upon us. As well as the gloom hanging over Gateshead howeever, Mark has also been covering the Championship success at Morpeth Town and the Northern League success of Dunston UTS and offers his insight as to how well they may do next season, each a step higher.
Rounding off, Alex Narey Editor of The Non League Paper takes a look ahead to the final handful of games in the National League and predicts the Easter programme could decide it. He also offers insight into those who have finished in the bottom four in the National League and wonders what will happen to those relegated.
