The government has said it is not carrying out a "formal review" into the post-Brexit rights of Irish citizens who were born in Northern Ireland. Recent changes mean that essentially there could be two tiers of Irish citizens with those in the Republic of Ireland retaining EU rights and those in Northern Ireland who can't. But what rights did the Good Friday Agreement actually guarantee? And should Irish citizens in a Northern Ireland outside the EU guarantee all of the same rights as Irish citizens in the Republic, living inside the EU?
