Stochastic Flows
Cliff Geyser reimagined by Kathleen Judge.
"Listening to the geyser recording I kept thinking of rushing particles, rhythm and flow. Living in the city I wanted to juxtapose similar sounds that flow (subways, machines, people) with this 'nature' recording. I start and end with the original geyser 'as is', then weave my field recordings into the original recording (hangers, pipes, ice, glass, subway singers, radio). I used the geyser recording on 3 tracks. The first track I left alone, without any effects. The second version I added static and pops to it, the third I added some delays and changed the pitch. Otherwise I tried to keep FX on the recording minimal."
