A homeless man says he could have died if he wasn't rescued from the streets of Ashford.
Darren Handley had been sleeping outside the former Mecca Bingo building for nearly two years, after battling mental illness and alcohol addiction for most of his life.
He'd developed a cold and fever and was sleeping rough as temperatures dropped below zero last month.
Irina Zureiqi spotted the 48-year-old and invited him stay in her home a few weeks ago.
