This week’s guest is a man who played more than 800 games in a 25-year career.

He racked up eight seasons as an ever-present with Colchester, Luton and Watford and, having played for all three Merseyside league clubs, he can tell a tale or two about Neville Southall, David James and, er, Eric Nixon.
