A Kent MP will propose life sentences as punishment for parents who're convicted of child cruelty later.

Tonbridge and Malling's Tom Tugendhat is due to table a motion in Parliament calling for the 10 year maximum sentence to be increased.

He's campaigning on behalf of Paula Hudgell from West Malling who adopted a toddler named Tony who was so badly abused by his birth parents, he had to have his legs amputated.

His biological mum and dad are each serving a ten year prison sentence - but Paula says change is needed:.
