RJ Mandee & Kabir End 16-Year Old Water Wastage

We can’t create water but can at least save it. With the same thought we began a campaign urging Punekars to identify such locations around the city where the water is being wasted. To which Ms Roma replied complaining about Camp area’s registry office where she saw a water tank overflowing and causing hundreds of liters of water going waste every day for last 16 yrs. Mandee & Kabir dealth this problem very tactfully by becoming the alarm clock for the staff of registry office and giving them a call every morning and reminding them about switching off the pump on time. They did this for 21 days straight cause they say it becomes a habit when you do a certain thing regularly for 21 days. After 21 days it was not an end as Mandee and Kabir thought of finding a permanent solution to the problem and decided to set up an automated system to stop the leakage.

Our client, Anushka Aquasys came on board to set up the system for free and things fell in place. And finally this automated system is set up and the water leakage is stopped. Imagine what amount of water must have got wasted in last 16 yrs.

Thanks to Ms Roma for her vigilance as a citizen, Mr Ashok Lembhe who installed the system from his own pocket, the staff of registry office for their co-operation and Mandee & Kabir for their continuous follow up and a unique way of campaigning. It’s so fulfilling when you use the power of radio to bring about a real change.
