Actor Charlie Lawson is one of Northern Ireland's best loved actors. Playing Big Jim MacDonald in Coronation Street made him a household name throughout the UK. But last year Charlie had a major health shock. While performing on stage Charlie knew something was wrong when he suddenly had problems with his vision and hearing. He was playing Ian Rankin's Rebus in Edinburgh, and found out later that he had suffered a mini-stroke. I spoke to Charlie just before Christmas. He started by telling me how he got the role of Rebus.
