1983 Roundtable Series - Volume 1 - Kevin "KK" Walker, Clint Harris & Chuck Bishop
East Carolina University's 1983 Football Team, which finished 8-3 and ranked No.20 in the nation, is one of the best team's in school history and arguably the most talented. The Pirates, who played just four home games at what was then just Ficklen Stadium, won at Missouri and NC State while also suffering near misses at Florida State (47-46), Florida (24-17) and eventual national champion Miami (12-7).
Defensively, the Pirates surrendered just 16.7 points per game.
We kick off this series of podcasts by talking to three defensive backs on that team--Kevin "KK" Walker, Clint Harris and Chuck Bishop! Walker and Harris combined for 34 career interceptions and were Honorable Mention All-Americans!
Stay tuned as this series is just getting started! We have several more volumes on the 1983 team to follow!
