Why Celebrate World Braille Day 2019?

French inventor and educator Louis Braille was born in 1809 and created a system of reading and writing that opened up the world to blind people.

The system of dots, like a 6 on a dice, allows someone who cannot see the written word to read any kind of literature, scientific notation or music score.

Although the 21st Century has brought Smart technology to almost every facet of life, including those with a visual impairment, learning Braille is crucial for building literacy skills.
