Polls in the US are opening in the next few hours for the Midterms.

Voters will be choosing senators and Representatives, as well as local officials, which could have big consequences for Donald Trump’s ability to get laws passed.

After weeks of volatility in US markets, the results are being closely watched by investors too.

But is the importance of the midterms being over stated?
