Reimagined by Nicolas Hermansen.

"I was inspired by the drone like sound bed of the sound recording and its contrasting little noises, the grains rolling. This contrast creates a sonic game for the ear made out of fast transient sounds and slow evolving sounds. It stimulates your curiosity and refocuses constantly the center of interest while listening.

My main focus with this composition is the transfer of energy between the sound piece and the listener, shifting the attention toward a visceral understanding of the composition and a bigger than life image of the minute grains of sand. To achieve this, I felt that working with granular synthesis was an obligatory action, since the original recording is about grains rolling."
