English Lullaby

"I have always had a very close connection to the English countryside and I got a strong feeling of recognition and resonance from the field recording. I decided not to edit or rearrange the field recording, but to provide an accompaniment to it. I wanted to marry sounds that are digital with the organic sounds of nature - so even though the melodies were written on guitar I chose to use far less natural sounding synth plugins when it came to recording. This was a simple, but hopefully effective way of conveying a modern sense of connection (or perhaps even disconnection depending on the mindset/taste of the listener) with the natural world."
