Stop Manual Scavenging says RJ Kabir

No doubt, sanitation is important but at what cost? Imagine what all these sanitation workers have to go through when they have to clean gutters, sewers, public toilets, etc. Manual scavenging is so bad a practice that it may lead to hazardous skin diseases like skin cancer. Despite several voices demanding to stop these practices there is very little being done. Hence an NGO from Pune called Dalit Adivasi Adhikar Andolan wrote a letter to PM to draw his attention towards the problem. RJ Kabir talked to Mr Priyadarshi from the NGO and tried making Pune aware about manual scavenging and what all they have to go through. Here is the whole interview for you.
