"Art in Aid of Blind Soldiers and Sailors"
RNIB Connect Radio's Barry Snell finds out about a commemorative exhibition taking place at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and museum, which is fully accessible to blind and partially sighted people.
The emotive display by artist Frank Brangwyn reflects on the impact of war and the life-changing injuries serviceman can sustain. Five lithographic prints tell the moving story of a young soldier going to war, being blinded and hospitalised, and then recuperating and learning a new trade.
The exhibition also includes iPad audio, braille translations and tactile elements, including a 3D model of one of the artworks.
