Kate Mattias, the executive director of NAMI joined Brad Davis to talk about a free , 12 session education program for family and friends of adults living with mental illness. One in Five families is affected by this illness. (Yes, 1 in 5 - that’s 20% of our population.) This free course is designed to help all family members understand and support their loved ones with mental illness. Thousands of people across the country have taken this course, and describe it as life-changing. The free course is being held locally at the Southeastern Mental Health Authority ( SMHA) in Uncasville Thursday Sept.20th , 6:30pm – 9:00pm
