UNMISS stands ready to support implementation of Peace deal, says SRSG

[...] "The signing of this revitalized agreement we should publicly acknowledge is one step on the road to peace – one that lays the foundation for all to follows. We also know that the greatest challenges are yet to come during the implementation phase and the key ingredient still lacking is trust."

The UN Special Representative and Head of UNMISS says the toughest part of the peace process remains in the implementation. 

David Shearer welcomed the signing and said the United Nations will support the parties in the implementation. 

He spoke to UNMISS spokesperson Francesca Mold in Addis Ababa.
